GREASE ticketing and ushering

Ticketing
We were briefed on May 21st what we were expected to do - sell tickets to people. We came up with ideas of how to sell the tickets. We were given 10 tickets each to sell during the school holiday. We were also given leaflets to give people so that they are aware of our school's production.

During the June school holidays, I went to watch the show Grease as I never watched it before. I feel that it is necessary for me to watch the show before I can promote the tickets as I will be able to persuade and convince people with the knowlegde of the show. I also went to my mother's office to promote the show to her colleagues and also pasted the leaflets on their common notice board.

When school re-opened, I tried to sell the tickets to my friends. I persuaded them to buy by saying "Support the school's 3rd production and also suport your friends who are in the production". Many of them have already gotten their tickets. It was quite hard to sell. But I think I managed to sell over 15 tickets. It was a great achievement for me.

I also went to ACS (Independent) during my school hours, breaks, to sell tickets. It didn't have a very good response as we went to the school on the day of the school's production and many students have already gotten their tickets.

Usering
Out of the 3 days of the show. I attended 2 of the shows(Thursday and Saturday), being an usher to help audience to their seats and leading them the correct way. I felt that I did a very good job as I managed to get the audience seated in time for the show to start and that there were no delays in the timing. I also had to go around with a stack of programme booklets asking the audience politely if they wanted a copy of the programme booklet.

After the whole production on Saturday, I had to help clean up the hall by picking up litters, taking out the stickers from the chairs and packing the hall. It was very tiring as it was very late and that there were a lot of chairs and litters to attend to.

Overall, I think that the productino went very well and that the tickets sold had a great response as it was full-house.
