CCA - Netball

Today was our last netball training till next year! And we had prize presentation, BBQ and played a bit of street netball. :) Really will miss my girls next year as I won't be playing with them. I will really miss them and I hope that they can excel and win more games next year! All the best sweeties!

Anyway, prize presentation! I thought we only had 1 award for our coach, but wow! Who knows, we have 4! Hahaha. 1 for coach, being the great coach for us to excel in netball. Another one was for me! I wasn't aware of this! Awwws, so sweet! I was thanked for being captain of netball 2009. So cute. :)Another prize went to Junhee for having the best effort in netball. :)And last but not least! The best improved! *drum rolls* It went to a sec 1 girl called Clarrisa! :) She really did improve alot and I was very very proud of her. :)
We had photo taking after that! Though some people were missing from the photo, but it sums up most of the players. And I'm glad that this CCA netball has been growing tremendously over a period of 3 years. I'm very proud to say that I'm in netball.

Later we had the BBQ started going! Hahaha, all the year 5s were busy cooking while the others were busy chatting away and eating! Hahaha. It was fun though. :) Later we went to play street netball! It was fun, I'll really miss them. I feel like crying! Hahahaha. :P Anyway, great news!
Next year: Netball camp, Overseas netball (against taiwan and australia and more!). This will be SOOOOO FUNNN. I can't wait for it :)

Overall, what we went through this year will remain as memories and I must emphasize on this "I love and am proud of the school netball team". As a captain, I think I have fulfill my job to bring up the team spirit in netball and to make everyone in netball improve.

CCA - Netball

We had training in the basketball court from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Last week was my junior's competition. They brought back a sliver medal as they came in 2nd and 4th, great job! :) Today is the second last training for the year! I trained my juniors again in basics. However, this time, I threw harder and faster balls to them so that they can train on their awareness and how fast they can react to the ball. At times, they would drop the ball or get hit by the ball, but I still continue to encourage them to keep on practising.

CCA - Tchoukball

Today is the last training of the year

Today we didn't practise alot but it was more of games against the boys to gain more experience. It was more of a fun training rather than an intensive training like the others. :)

CCA - Netball

Today we had training in the basketball court.

As a tournament is coming up on the 4th of October 2009, I had to train my juniors as they are joining the competition. I could not join the competition because I was overage. All I could do is help them train and to be better players. :) I taught the newer people how to throw proper passes, how their hands should be facing to the person they want to throw to, their footwork when throwing the ball. I think they have improved!

Later, I played street netball with those going for the competition to give them a better and harder "opponent" so that they are able to work under pressure. And I must say, they have improved tremendously. Their movement and passing improved a lot. I'm very happy to see that my school's netball team is improving so much.

CCA - Tchoukball

Toady we had training in the hall

Today there were 4 girls (including me) training! I asked my friend to join and she did! She enjoyed the sport just like me. We trained for 1 hour, throwing balls as long as full-court, it was exhausting as I did not have enough strength as my coach, but he still continues to encourage me and say that I can do it.

Later we had a friendly match with the guys! And I was very proud that we won the guys! 2 matches! I was very very very happy!

Clique Netball - Training

Today's training was a PSA.

Also, we did physical trainings and foundation and basics. That's about it! Today is the last day of training till after the exams! :)

Trybe Leadership Camp

In this leadership camp at Singapore Vision Farm was a good learning experience as I learnt a lot of things that a leader should have. Also, I've learnt to have a bird's eye view of things after going up to the Singapore Flyers - to look at things at a bigger picture and not be biased in my views. This camp helped me to understand how to be a better leader - patient, understanding and caring one. It isn't just about giving instructions but also listening to others within the team. Overall, I think this camp has benefited the sudent leader body to be better leaders in the school.
