Had our A div match today!
It was against 3 other schools - Anderson JC, Innova JC and Nan Yang JC.
The first match we played was against Anderson JC. As I was inexperience, I made a lot of mistakes and got really lost on court. The refree kept blowing my infringement - Landing, but I didn't understand why. Thus we lost the game with a score of 5 to 12. We were very unhappy with the lost and are determined to win the other two matches. We did more passing and 3 steps, letting ourselves jump higher so that we would not be called for landing.
The second match was against Nan Yang JC. I had a taste of the refree's call, thus during the second match, I didn't want to let the same mistake happen again. I didn't jump in, I just shot stationary, and it worked! (: We won with a score of 10 to 12. We were very happy with our improvement during the game but we told ourselves not to be complacent and make sure we win the last game. The second game made us top 3 of the table, but we were aiming for first. We have a chance of being first if we play well for the last game and have a wide goal difference.
The last match was against Innova JC. They beat Anderson JC with a score of 9 to 8. But the score does not say anything, we were so determined to play our best and to win and also win by a big margin to top the table. We played tremendously well and even our coach congratulated us on our win. We won with a score of 5 to 15.
However, at the end of the day, we lost to Anderson with a goal difference of 4, but we are still happy that we are able to learn from this experience and to improve better on our weak areas. Let's work harder for the next upcoming tournament! (:
